'OH' DUE NOVEMBER 10 VIA SPUNK RECORDS

Machine Translations aka J Walker has returned, announcing his ninth studio album 'Oh' due November 10 via Spunk Records. To coincide with the news, J has shared "Parliament Of Spiders", the hard-hitting first taste of the album, as well as announcing a string of Australian shows this November.

You can listen to the new single via the link below.

More about the New Album Oh:

Oh is probably the most rock 'n roll album Machine Translations has ever made. It still has a lot of musical twists and turns in it but the core of the record was done live to tape with the band - 4 people in a room making noise together. There's an energy and intensity to it that the band has been chasing for a while - it's got a mean streak but it's also incredibly melodic.

With Oh, J Walker was intent on keeping the record lean and mean - no fat, no filler - and many songs got culled or cut down along the way. "My whole thing with this record was to keep things more elemental and immediate", says J. Everything is there for a reason and everything pulls its weight. Both lyrically and musically, Oh is arguably one of the best records Machine Translations has ever made.

Oh follows on from 2013’s The Bright Door. Since 2013, J Walker has been spending his time divided between making music for television (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Newton’s Law) and producing some handy records for Paul Kelly, Jen Cloher, Jess Ribeiro and Tiny Ruins, among others.
