New Zealand songwriter Maxine Funke will be performing in Australia this June. Maxine Funke is a truly unique contemporary folk artist. Her two solo records 'Felt' and 'Lace' are glorious excursions in intimate songwriting, overflowing with timeless warmth and humble magic. Despite being originally released as tiny vinyl and cd-r runs, these records have inspired a wide and dedicated cult following. Maxine has also played in bands such The Snares, $100 Band and Peter Gutteridge's legendary Flying Nun outfit, Snapper.
Maxine Funke rarely performs live, and has never played in Australia. For this run of dates, she will play three headline shows, with a host of amazing local acts in support.
