Fast-paced and infectious, Charley Castle leads her Boys in the Well to a new strain of Australian bluegrass. On the corner of North American tradition and home-grown singer-songwriter spirit, she and her trail-blazing, fast-picking quartet exploded onto the national country music scene eighteen months ago, and haven’t looked back since. With guitar, double bass, mandolin, and tight-stack harmonies, they marry old sounds with modern sensibilities, and have quickly become a favourite at major festivals, and as a support act for the likes of DUG (Grammy-nominated; IRE/US), Rainbowgirls (US), Kingswood (ARIA-nominated) and Fanny Lumsden (ARIA winner).
Having toured the country top to bottom with a high-energy and feel-good live show before the release of a single song, Charley drops her long-awaited debut EP, Charley Castle & the Boys in the Well, on September 25; with an east coast tour starting December 2026.
