The release of 'Gallery' is the first glimpse of a new chapter – taking on a more electronic, eclectic and mesmeric sound, while retaining her signature lyrical intelligence and candour. Nine years have passed since the release of her last album After A Time. Since then, Throsby has released two novels and spent many seasons on the South Coast, developing a new sonic palette for her upcoming album.
On 'Gallery' Holly shares:
"This song puts my mind to all types of galleries, museums, waiting spaces. It is a song of longing, but also of art as consolation – as comfort – in lieu of human comfort, which may or may not arrive. The fire within, the rain above; optimism, capitalism, patience. It feels really good to make new music and have it sound so rich and dreamlike."
