The Melodrones celebrate the release of new single “Never Too Late” with a full band performance of new material. Joining the Melodrones will be Craig Dermody of Scott and Charlene’s Wedding, Roy Molloy and Billy Charles. A night of live music and vinyl dj's presented by Heavy Demo.
The Melodrones are a fuzz laden, alternative doo-wop, five-piece featuring Xav, Rik, Mel, Mody & Amy. Formed on Gadigal and Dharug land in Sydney, New South Wales, the group found their sound by pairing Motown inspired songwriting with post-punk production, creating their own unique sonic landscape within the Australian scene. The Melodrones released their self titled debut record to astonishing critical acclaim in 2025.
Craig Dermody is an Australian musician, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter best known as the founder and principal creative force behind the indie rock project Scott & Charlene’s Wedding, which he started in Melbourne in 2006. He writes and records much of the material himself, blending lo‑fi indie rock and jangly guitar pop with personal, narrative lyrics that draw on suburban life and emotional storytelling.
